We are so delighted  that the HGV Operating Licence we needed has just been granted. It sounds so simple, but the criteria are exacting, several contracts have to be in place, along with a professional manager to oversee the operation of the vehicle, its base and its drivers. It has taken nearly 6 months to set everything up, apply and finally be approved.

Sincere thanks to Richard Jackman of  ST&L Transport Consultants  for his support and advice through the whole process.  It all started with the brilliant  WTTL Driver Training team who taught me about the responsibilities of running an HGV in the first place! They now have a training base in Bristol as well as Devizes.

As a result we have learnt a lot about the standards needed to drive HGVs, manage all the operating standards, other aspects of licensing, transporting horses regulations, risk assessments, insurance..... So that we can take all sorts of horses to care homes or hospices, or to support people to ride in the countryside.

Now we are fully mobile, we want to build relationships with more organizations that understand the benefit of their participants meeting horses or visiting the countryside. Do contact us to discuss how we can work together.
